How I became a Wedding Planner

Welcome to my very first blog post! I wanted to share a little bit more about me and why I decided to start my very own venture into the world of wedding planning.

From a young age I was always super organised… or if you ask my sisters they’d say “the golden child!” I’d spend each weekend cleaning my room and writing lists. This transpired into my school years where I was first to put my hand up to help out with any small events. From school fetes to proms I was there with my clip board and schedule to ensure every detail was covered!

This then lead me to study event management and underpin my passion with a degree in the subject.

During my early career I took every opportunity to travel. From working as a waitress in Australia to coordinating weddings at Sandals Resorts in Jamaica, I thrived off having the independence to immerse myself in different cultures.

Once graduating I secured a job as an Event Manager near London. I soon met my now-husband and our whirlwind relationship began. Before long we’d bought our first house and were engaged… Did I mention I was super organised?!

Our wedding day was simply magical but afterwards I couldn’t help but miss the planning part and so Bethany Rose Weddings was born! Ultimately it’s my love of organisation combined with my passion to help others which is at the heart of what I do and why.

I now live in a beautiful village near Lincoln with my husband and our cockapoo, Duke and cat, Duchess who regularly feature on my Instagram!
